Found by accident in the jungles of New Guinea during World War II, this brave dog went on to earn two medals of honor for her bravery and the many lives she saved.
The first official therapy dog of record, Smoky earned eight battle stars and many medals. After the war she traveled half the world with her owner Corporal Bill Wynne, bringing joy and comfort to untold thousands of sick and injured. Storyteller Adrian Brigham, his wife Denise and her therapy dog Hairy Pawter share Smoky's story, showing that all dogs have possibilities and that our heroes and veterans can also have four paws.
