Remembering passwords can be a hassle—especially when every account seems to have different rules, and getting locked out feels like a regular occurrence. If you're tired of sticky notes and password frustration, this class at the Batavia Public Library may be just what you need.

No More Sticky Notes: Mastering Passwords the Easy Way is a special program designed specifically for seniors who want to take control of their digital security with simple, effective tools. Led by Tony LaPalio, Founder and CEO of Senior Tech Support, this session will guide attendees through the basics of password management in a clear, approachable way.

Participants will learn how to create strong, secure passwords that are hard to crack but easy to manage. The session will also introduce the benefits of using password managers—tools that safely store login information so users don’t have to remember everything themselves. In addition, LaPalio will explain how to set up two-factor authentication and provide practical tips for recognizing and avoiding common online scams, such as phishing attempts.

This program, sponsored by the City of Batavia and the Batavia Public Library, is part of the City’s continuing effort to communicate effectively with older adults. Attendees will leave with greater confidence in using technology and a better understanding of how to protect their personal information.
